Freedom.Science forms the direction-and-purpose domain within the NEDION Safety to Freedom™ pathway.
Safety to Freedom™ is the strategic pathway, integrative framework and public programme of NEDION Foundation. It connects safety, integration, responsibility, harmony, freedom and human flourishing while preserving the distinct functions and independence of the contributing domains.

Safety.Science — necessary conditions
Safety.Science addresses the evidence, concepts and conditions required to protect life, prevent unacceptable harm and establish dependable foundations.
Integration.Engineering — enabling transformation
Integration.Engineering addresses how people, systems, technologies, organisations, knowledge, processes and values can be connected into coherent functioning arrangements.
Freedom.Science — direction and purpose
Freedom.Science explores harmonious freedom, responsibility, ethics, relationships, human flourishing and the purposes toward which safe and integrated systems should contribute.
Shared Proposition
Safety provides the foundation. Integration provides the enabling mechanism. Freedom provides the direction and purpose.
Safety is therefore not treated as the opposite of freedom. Dependable safety provides necessary conditions; integration transforms fragmented capabilities into functioning arrangements; and freedom provides the human and societal direction toward which those arrangements should contribute.
Different Roles
SafetyToFreedom.org is the primary public interface for the wider pathway. It explains and connects the pathway for broad professional and public audiences.
Freedom.Science is a distinct scientific knowledge platform and peer-reviewed journal. It provides the scholarly environment for investigating harmonious freedom, responsibility, human flourishing and their relationships with safety and integration.
Participation in the wider NEDION pathway does not determine editorial outcomes. Freedom.Science retains its scientific identity and protected editorial independence.
