Archiving and Preservation

Freedom.Science is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published scholarly content.

The journal follows the general NEDION Press Archiving and Preservation Policy.

The journal aims to ensure that published articles remain findable, accessible, citable and preserved over time.

Preservation Measures

Freedom.Science and NEDION Press may use several preservation measures, including:

• regular website backups;
• publisher-held archival copies;
• PDF preservation copies;
• publication metadata records;
• DOI metadata once DOI infrastructure is active;
• stable article landing pages;
• repository deposits where appropriate;
• archival records of corrections and retractions.

Persistent Identifiers

Freedom.Science aims to use persistent identifiers where appropriate.

The journal intends to apply for an ISSN after the website, publisher information, editorial information, policies and first publication are sufficiently established.

A journal DOI structure will be assigned when the DOI infrastructure is ready.

Version of Record

For scholarly articles, Freedom.Science aims to identify the final published article as the Version of Record.

Corrections, updates, retractions or expressions of concern will be linked to the relevant publication record where applicable.
