Freedom.Science is committed to ethical scholarly publishing.

Authors, reviewers and editors are expected to act with integrity, transparency, fairness and respect for human dignity.

Freedom.Science follows the general NEDION Press Publication Ethics Policy and applies it according to the journal’s aims, scope and publication formats.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work:

• is original;
• does not contain plagiarism;
• properly cites and acknowledges sources;
• does not misrepresent evidence or argument;
• respects confidentiality and privacy;
• discloses conflicts of interest;
• discloses funding sources where relevant;
• complies with applicable ethical and legal requirements;
• uses responsible language, especially in sensitive social, legal, political or technological contexts.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

• provide fair and constructive feedback;
• respect confidentiality;
• declare conflicts of interest;
• avoid personal criticism;
• focus on scholarly quality, clarity and relevance;
• avoid using unpublished material for personal advantage.

Editorial Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

• fair handling of submissions;
• transparent editorial decisions;
• appropriate selection of reviewers;
• protection of editorial independence;
• management of conflicts of interest;
• correction of errors where necessary;
• maintenance of the scholarly record.

Sensitive Topics

Freedom.Science may publish work on topics that involve human dignity, rights, democracy, AI, security, governance, social trust and institutional responsibility.

Submissions involving human participants, personal data, vulnerable groups, institutional data, security-sensitive information or politically sensitive contexts must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements.

Authors should explain how consent, privacy, confidentiality and risk have been addressed where relevant.
